For new HODs/HOLs/HOFs/HOLAs of any sized department, learning area or faculty, and for leaders who want to refresh or review their practice.  The workshop includes current thinking about effective leadership; the role and responsibilities of an HOD; building a positive and professional learning culture in a department; organising a department and many other relevant and useful topics

  • BEING AN EFFECTIVE Dean
For new Deans, and for Deans who want to refresh or review their practice. The workshop was last year increased to two days to allow for more in-depth coverage and discussion, including building a toolkit of skills and strategies for being effective in this role, understanding the role and its connection with student learning, academic coaching/mentoring, organising effective Deaning systems and procedures and many other relevant and useful topics
