Information for Staff

1. Extra meeting on Monday: In Term 2, staff were again asked to complete a wellbeing survey and provide feedback on this. On Monday 27 there will be an additional, voluntary staff meeting for interested staff who would like to hear and discuss the feedback

2. Alternative search engines:
a. DuckDuckGo - if you are looking for a search engine that does not track your use or search queries, and touts itself of not on-selling data. They you might like to explore DuckDuckgo as an alternative.
b. Carrot2 is a search engine that is great for student research. When you put in your search 'terms' it then groups or clusters websites that are similar as well as a more comprehensive search of the web which saves a lot of time.

3. How effective is your student feedback? The Education Hub have created a checklist for teachers to guide how effective their feedback to students is. They state "Research suggests that appropriate, constructive and assessment-based feedback is one of the most critical features of effective teaching and learning". If you would like to give yourself a quick audit go to their website and download the pdf and see which features apply to your practice.

4. Social Media Contract: This link takes to you to a site that has a contract for students regarding their social media use. Could be something to discuss with your Ako group, or use as a parent at home.
