Giving Feedback in the classroom

BYOD use is increasing at CGHS, and this opens up a number of avenues to provide feedback to students that is not just written.
With this in mind, there are a couple of extensions you can add to chrome - the first is talk and commentThis particular extension is especially great for students who may have difficulty interpreting written feedback, as the teacher is able to provide more indepth feedback - as it is much quicker than typing.

The second extension you could add is called Screencastify (video screen recorder)

This add-on allows you to make little video recordings of your screens. It can be used for a couple of things.

You are able to make video screen recordings that can be uploaded, explaining an aspect of your course. You will be able to record your screen and go to different sites online as well as record your explanation of what your require students to do. This is great for tutorials.

When you save your video, it will be saved in your Google Drive where it can be shared. The url can then be provided to a student via feedback on your document. See the video below for a tutorial.
